Barcelona defeat Sevilla (0:2) in Spanish Cup 1/2 first match

In the first match of the 1/2 final of the Spanish Cup, Sevilla beat Barcelona.  The meeting took place at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in Seville and ended with a score of 2: 0.

In the 25th minute, defender Jules Kunde opened the scoring.  The Sevilla footballer easily left Yumtiti, broke into someone else's penalty area from the right flank of the attack, and confidently shot past Ter Stegen into the far corner of the goal.  In the 85th minute, the advantage of the Sevillian team was increased by Ivan Rakitic.  After the transfer from the center of the field, Yumtiti slipped, as a result of which Rakitic ran out one on one with Ter Stegen and confidently shot over him into the goal.

Barcelona’s coach Ronald Koeman praised his team's performance.

"We are on a good way. The team is fighting for every point. We played well, but we have to understand that we played against a good, physically strong team. But we dominated the game.  I think we had the best opportunities.  I think it’s a penalty.  That's strange, if you have a VAR, you have to give a penalty?" said Koeman.

The return meeting will take place in Barcelona on March 3.  The winner of the Sevilla vs Barcelona head-off will play against the winner of the Athletic B - Levante match.
